Notice is hereby given that on Monday, November 10th, 2025, at 7:00 PM, in the Town of Stephenson Municipal building located at W11280 County Road X in Crivitz, WI , a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2026 BUDGET for the Town of Stephenson, Marinette County, will be held. The proposed budget summary was posted and emailed on October 23, 2025, pursuant to WSS Section 65.90. A detailed proposed budget will be available for inspection at the Public Hearing.

               NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS

OF THE TOWN OF STEPHENSON, MARINETTE COUNTY

 

Notice is hereby given that on Monday, November 10th, 2025, immediately following the completion of the PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2026 TOWN BUDGET, which begins at 7:00 PM, in the Town of Stephenson Municipal Building located at W11280 County Road X in Crivitz, WI, a SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS of the Town of Stephenson, is called pursuant to Section 60.12 of the Wisconsin Statutes, by the Town Board for the following purposes:

 

     1.   To adopt the 2025 Town tax levy to be paid in 2026 pursuant to

           Section 60.10(1)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

 

1. 2. To approve the total 2026 Highway expenditures pursuant to Section

             82.03(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

 

1. 3. To authorize the Town Board to hire Town Officers as employees of

             the Town and set an hourly wage pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(g)

             of the Wisconsin Statutes.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that immediately following the SPECIAL TOWN MEETIG OF THE ELECTORS on Monday, November 10th, 2025, in the Town of Stephenson Municipal Building located at W11280 County Road X in Crivitz, WI on the PROPOSED 2026 TOWN BUDGET, the Town Board will meet to adopt the Town budget for 2026 pursuant to Section 60.40(4) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
