TOWN OF STEPHENSON MARINETTE COUNTY TOWN HALL

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

June 29, 2023

Chairman Kudick called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. He led everyone in the pledge of allegiance. Roll call showed Supervisors Franzmeier, Belanger, and Stradal, Treasurer Uhazie, and Clerk Olson, attending along with 5 others. Supervisor Rogers was absent.

Supervisor Stradal moved to adopt the agenda. Supervisor Franzmeier seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Class B combination license was granted for Bobbi J’s Roadside Saloon, Caldron Falls Bar, and Smokey Spice LLC with a move by Supervisor Franzmeier, second by Supervisor Belanger and carried.

There was only one bid received for the roadwork for 2023. That was from Scott Construction. Supervisor Franzmeier made a motion to accept the following:
Thunder Mt Rd - 1.63 miles - final grade, water and roll prior to double gravel chip seal $101,500.00
Wood Duck Rd (loop) - .74 miles – final grand, water and roll prior to double gravel chip seal $ 46,500.00
Nesters Lane - - .51 miles – single chip seal $ 15,100.00
Kiss Lake Road - .53 miles – single chip seal $ 14,900.00
Boat Landing 7 Rd - .87 miles – single chip seal $ 25,500.00
Shady Lane - .47 miles – single chip seal $ 13,300.00
Meadowlark Lane - .52 miles – single chip seal $ 14,500.00
Ranch Rd – 1.82 miles – final grade, water, compact, and pave with cold mix $244,400.00
Boat Landing 11 Rd (gravel area) – 1.59 miles – final grade water, compact and pave with cold mix $194,600.00
TOTAL $670,300.00
Supervisor Stradal offered a second. This will use the $60,000.00 from the Boat Landing 11 Depreciation account, and some from the Road Depreciation account. Motion carried.

Operator’s licenses for July 1, 2023 through June 30 2025 were approved for Carla Piontek and Hope Wesolowski with a motion by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Franzmeier, and carried.

Hugh Guy Land Surveying presented CSM #2023-5 for Wayne Bachmann for 2 lots located in part of the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Sec 18, T33N, R19E in the Town of Stephenson, Marinette County, Wisconsin, with ingress and egress to Hummingbird Lane. Motion to approve by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Belanger, and carried.

Jeff Lieuwen of Rob Kamps Land Surveying presented CSM #2023-6 for Charles DeSmidt II for 2 lots located in part of the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Sec 28, T33N, R19E in the Town of Stephenson, Marinette County, Wisconsin, with ingress and egress to Kottke Road. Motion to approve by Supervisor Franzmeier, second by Supervisor Stradal, and carried.

Jeff Lieuwen of Rob Kamps Land Surveying presented CSM #2023-7 for Jacob & Nicole Dobesh for 2 lots located in part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Sec 18, T33N, R19E in the Town of Stephenson, Marinette County, Wisconsin, with ingress and egress to Hummingbird Lane. Motion to approve by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Belanger, and carried.

A motion to adjourn was made by Supervisor Franzmeier, second by Supervisor Stradal, and carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:34 pm.
