SP Board meeting 8-2-2023

TOWN OF STEPHENSON MARINETTE COUNTY TOWN HALL

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

August 2, 2023

Chairman Kudick called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. He led everyone in the pledge of allegiance. Roll call showed Supervisors Belanger, Rogers, and Stradal, and Clerk Olson, attending along with 3 others. Supervisor Franzmeier was excused.

Supervisor Stradal moved to adopt the agenda. Supervisor Rogers seconded the motion. Motion carried.

No CSM’s were presented.

Class B combination Liquor and beer license was granted for AGF Holdings LLC, DBA Fishers Bar and Grill with a move by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Belanger and carried.

Andrew G. Foster of 12 W Jefferson Street in Waupun, WI was approved as Agent for Fishers Bar and Grill with a motion by Supervisor Belanger, second by Supervisor Stradal, and carried.

Supervisor Rogers made a motion to move to closed session pursuant to WSS#19.85(1)(c) for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, or performance evaluation date of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Second by Supervisor Belanger. Roll call vote showed all in favor. Carried. Moved to closed session at 6:08 pm.

There was discussion on the starting wage for Public Works employees, considering we are looking to hire at least one more Public Works employee, and on raising the wage for current Public Works employees. Questions were also raised concerning hours worked and benefits. After much discussion, Supervisor Stradal made a motion to make the starting wage for Public Works $25.00 per hour, raise the current employees for Public Works $5.00 per hour, and raise the Superintendent of Public Works salary to $80,000.00 per year. Temporary help would remain the same at this time. A roll call vote showed all in favor. Motion carried.

A motion to adjourn was made by Chairman Kudick, second by Supervisor Stradal, and showed all in favor. Meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm.
