BUDGET HEARING 

           

November 6, 2023                 

Chairman Kudick called the budget hearing to order at 7:05 pm. Present were Chairman Kudick, Supervisors, Belanger, Franzmeier, Rogers, and Stradal, Clerk Olson, and 5 electors.

Proposed budget sheets and the proposed budget summary sheets were available for everyone’s viewing. Chairman Kudick asked if there were any questions.

There were no questions, so the hearing was closed at 7:06 pm.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS

                            

November 6, 2023             THESE MINUTES ARE NOT APPROVED AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE

The meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm by Chairman Kudick. Present were Chairman Kudick, Supervisors Belanger, Franzmeier, Rogers, and Stradal, Clerk Olson, and 5 other electors.

A motion was made by Don Weinhart to adopt the 2023 Town tax levy, of 922,829.00 to be paid in 2024 pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(a) of the Wisconsin State Statutes.   Gail Freitag offered a second. A vote showed 11 persons in favor and 0 opposed. Motion carried. 7:07 pm.

The next item was to approve the 2024 Highway expenditures pursuant to Section 82.03(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes. Don Weinhart moved to approve and Gail Freitag seconded the move. A count showed 11 in favor and 0 opposed. Motion carried. 7:07 pm.

The authorizing of the hiring of Town Officers as employees and setting an hourly wage, pursuant to Section 60.32 of the Wisconsin Statutes were both completed with a motion by Don Weinhart and second by Gail Freitag. The vote showed 11 in favor and 0 opposed. Time is 7:08 pm.

Don Weinhart made a motion to adjourn at 7:08 pm. Mike Stueck seconded, and the motion carried.

SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

November 6, 2023

Chairman Kudick called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm with the above-mentioned persons still in attendance.]

Supervisor Stradal moved to adopt the proposed 2024 budget with a levy of $922,829 and mill rate of 1.54%. A second was offered by Supervisor Belanger. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion to adjourn by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Franzmeier and carried at 7:10 pm.
