SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
July 29, 2024

Chairman Kudick called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. He led all in the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call showed Chairman Kudick, Supervisors Belanger, Franzmeier, and Stradal, and Clerk Olson, in attendance along with 4 others.
Supervisor Rogers was absent.
Supervisor Stradal moved to accept the agenda. Second by Supervisor Franzmeier. Carried.
One bid was received for the road work for 2024. Chairman Kudick opened the bid and Supervisor Franzmeier read the amounts.
Chairman Kudick stated we need to put aside $60,000 for Williston Springs Road and $40,000 for sealing. That leaves us with $651,000. We can take $75,000 from road depreciation, $67,000 from Unassigned Cash, and $38,000 from ARPA funds to bring our total up to $831,000 for road work. After some discussion, Supervisor Franzmeier made a motion to accept the bids from Scott Construction as follows:
Left Foot Lake Rd (Airport to town line) 1.01 miles X 20 Ft Pre-wedge / overlay & chip seal $197,700
Airport Rd (Devils Lake Rd to the east) 1.57 miles X 22 Ft Pre-wedge / overlay & chip seal $209,600
Deer Lake Rd (Eagle Rd to town line) .97 miles X 20 Ft Pre-wedge / overlay & chip seal $145,900
High Falls Rd (Deer Lake to Newton) .94 miles X 21 Ft Pre-wedge / overlay & chip seal $153,200
Newton Lake Road (CTY A to X) 3.82 miles X 22-24 Ft Chip Seal $107,800
Airport taxi way - Overlay .14 miles X 22 Ft Overlay $ 15,600
For a total cost of $829,800
Supervisor Stradal offered a second. Motion carried.
A motion to adjourn was made by Supervisor Franzmeier, second by Supervisor Stradal and showed all in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:22 pm.
