REGULAR BOARD MEETING               

April 9, 2025

          

Chairman Kudick called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.   He then led everyone in the pledge of allegiance. Roll call showed Supervisors Belanger, McCabe, and Stradal, Treasurer Uhazie, and Clerk Olson, in attendance along with 12 others.

Supervisor Stradal moved to adopt the agenda with the removal of operator licenses. Second by Supervisor Belanger. Carried.

Minutes of the March 12, 2025 Board meeting and March 20, 2025 Special Board meeting were approved with a motion by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Belanger, and carried.

Treasurer Uhazie’s financial report showed the following balances as of March 31, 2025

A motion was made by Supervisor Belanger to accept the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Supervisor McCabe and carried.

Vouchers #52288 through #52341, payroll charges, and EFT payments were approved as presented with a motion by Supervisor

Stradal, second by Supervisor McCabe, and carried.

Under Correspondence, the Clerk had received the a request to repair Boat Landing 10 Road, an estimate for the camera system at the hall, and information from the DNR concerning Spongy Moth spraying.

Department reports were given for Fire by Chief Jim Stradal, Canine by Mike Stueck, Public Works and Recycling by Craig Baeten, and the Building Inspector report and the Code Enforcer report by Chairman Kudick.

Hugh Guy Surveying, presented CSM 2025-8 for VanDeWalle Farms LLC for 1 lot, located in part of the SW¼ of the NE ¼ of Sec 10, T32N-R20E, in the Town of Stephenson, Marinette County, Wisconsin, with ingress and egress to US Highway 141. Motion to approve by Supervisor McCabe, second by Supervisor Stradal, and carried.

Clerk Olson reported that all paperwork and fees have been received with a request to have Jared Meidl take the lease for the hangar space previously leased by Joseph Mierzejewski. The lease for A-1, effective for April of 2025 through December 2035, was approved with a motion by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Belanger and carried.

Supervisor Belanger gave the Board figures on the Sanitation expenses. After some discussion, Supervisor Stradal moved to raise the cost of garbage bags for $1.00 bags to $2.00 and the $2.00 bags to $3.00 to help defray the costs. Supervisor McCabe offered a second. Motion carried.

Supervisor Stradal made a motion to appoint Jim Cichon and Bob Doctor for the 2 positions open on the Plan Commission. A second was given by Supervisor Belanger. Motion carried.

Under Public Comments: Chief Stradal thanked the fire department and Public Works for their great work during the recent ice storm. Jim Cichon asked that the Treasurer give a summary of the financial report at meetings.

Motion to adjourn by Supervisor Stradal, second by Supervisor Belanger, and carried at 7:36 pm.
